Intentions and requirements for twisting

Intention: For the smooth running of the warping and dyeing process and to reduce weft removal, weft shrinkage and ringing during weaving, and to improve the quality of the fabric.

Requirements: Adding tension, giving moisture, heating and other methods to stabilise the twist of the yarn, with a reasonable return rate of 8% to 9%.

1. Meaning of yarn winding for linen and cotton denim

-Change the way of winding

- Removal of yarn faults in the winding barrel to remove harmful faults on the original yarn

2. Functions of the winding machine

• Twisting means that the ends of the yarn are untwisted into loose fibres by other forces and then the ends are joined together from the beginning.

3. Warping

​

Introduction

The main purpose is to make the tension, arrangement and winding of the yarn or rope bundle uniform and to wind a certain number of cylinder yarns, with uniform tension and according to the specified length, evenly and tightly around the warp beam or special ball shaft, in preparation for the next dyeing and sizing process.

The main machine is the 1452A or GAI2I batch warping machine, which is used in the combined dyeing and sizing line to meet quality requirements.

The production process of linen-cotton denim is unique, it is a product that is first dyed and sized with indigo, and then woven.

 

4. Dyeing and sizing

​

Indigo dyeing of linen and cotton denim warp yarns is done in three ways: rope dyeing, piece yarn dyeing and ring dyeing. The first two are connected to the sizing, and the latter is dyed and then sized.

• Rope dyeing

• (ring yarn) interleaved winding - (rotating cup yarn) warping - rope frame - indigo linked rope dyeing - long chain warp - sizing - weaving - fabric inspection - post-treatment - pre-shrinkage packing
   

• -Piece yarn dyeing and sizing

• (ring bloom yarn) interleaved winding - (rotating cup yarn) warping - indigo dyeing of each sizing - weaving - fabric inspection - burnout - post-treatment - pre-shrinking and packing

• - Suspension ring dyeing

• This method uses a dyeing trough in which the warp yarn is repeatedly dyed in a loop, always to the required depth. The dyeing and sizing process is as follows

• -warp yarn in - alkali cooking (or damp) - washing - indigo dyeing - air oxidation (indigo dyeing) - the process of air oxidation is cycled six times - washing four times - drying - yarn storage - sizing - drying - shafting

• -Post packing
   

Brushing (single-sided or double-sided) - burning (single-sided or double-sided) - desizing - impregnation packing (1 or 2) - stretching (to the required width) - stretching (3/1 or 2/1 twill arrangement of linen-cotton denim to do this packing to avoid fabric distortion) - drying (with 12 to 14 drying cylinders, moisture recovery rate of 12% to 15%)
